Who
Can Join CPS?
We invite all those interested in flying as part of a respectful,
easy-going group of pilots. We fly with honor, courage, and
kindness. We respect and follow all server rules, and we never
engage in verbal battles with others. We do not discriminate
against those with lesser skills. We help those in need, to
the best of our abilities. We are the gentlemen of the community
and pledge to remain so at all times. If you are the type
of pilot that exemplifies these characteristics, then perhaps
CPS is for you.
Benefits of Joining
As a new CPS member, you will have the chance of witnessing
the continued growth of a great community of friendly
individuals. You will also have available to you: online tactical
reference materials, group training and evaluation on a number
of combat techniques, and our CPS loyalty and friendship.
You will wear the CPS tag in your name with pride and enjoy
the greatest of fun times with your CPS brothers. As a CPS
pilot, you will have the ability to determine your own level
of involvement within the squad. This is where the CPS Equal
Rank System comes into play. See ERS page for more info.
How Can I Join CPS and are there any rules?
Yes, there are rules. Although there are no flight time requirements
once you are a CPS member, they do exist when you are pledging
to become a CPS squad member. We need you to fly as often
as you can with the CPS squad as a pledge for up to 30 days.
We want to get to know you on a personal level. The CPS squad
has a friendly/family feel to it and we want to continue this.
This is done through flying with squad members as often as
you can on the HyperLobby server. This is highly recommended
as it may get you into the squad faster.
CPS will take requests for membership at any time.
Contact any member online in HL and express interest
or post your application in the CPS Forums.
At
this point you will be watched by any and all CPS members
for 30 days while playing, to observe your attitude. We encourage
you to fly with CPS members as often as you can. All CPS squad
members have a say in your becoming a member which is our way
of ensuring the moral caliber of our recruits. Dogfighting skills
are not a deciding factor, but attitude and demeanor are a
major deciding factor.
Upon
notification of acceptance, the new recruit's name must be
changed to reflect his new CPS brotherhood, ex. CPS_NewGuy.
Finally,
CPS_NewGuy submits his personal info to a CPS admin for the
site's members page, the details of which will be disclosed
upon acceptance.
Membership
may be revoked if a member has commited actions outside the
boundaries of gentlemanly conduct. Refer to the CPS
Code of Conduct for more information.
