Code of Conduct

US UK English

US
The following code of conduct is to be held as law by all members at all times, in all situation, in and out of gameplay. It applies to all forms of communication in any public or private contexts, nothing to be excluded. If a member disregards this code, he will be subject to exposure, censure, and possibly, his membership may be permanently revoked.

No vulching in a non-vulch server. (Vulching is not recommended in most circumstances.) At the discretion of the host, the definition of vulching may vary. To avoid scrutiny, follow these guidelines. First, find out upon entry to a server if vulching is allowed. Don't shoot at any parked player's aircraft. Don't engage aircraft which are in the process of takeoff or landing. Allow enemy reasonable time, speed, and altitude before engaging.

Please take lightly the "stealing" of a kill. Your teammates are there to help, and any enemy aircraft which is still airborne, even if a crash is imminent, presents a danger to all in its vicinity. Therefore, please refrain from engagement in arguments surrounding the common "You stole my kill!"

Do not intentionally shoot, ram, or harrass any friendly aircraft. Do not verbally assault or insult another player, regardless of circumstances or differences.

Do not convey an attitude of superiority toward anyone at any time or take part in any event which may result in bringing a bad name to CPS or its members.

If a situation gets out of hand, simply remove yourself from it and report it to the members for all to discuss.

Help newer players or those of lesser abilities when they ask for it. They will remember the kind gesture.

If policy change is deemed necessary by a member, it is his responsibility to bring this to the attention of everyone, in a constructive manner. He must also be ready to play an active role in the solution. Do not attempt to imply that change is necessary to meet your personal needs if you are not ready to play an active role in a constructive solution.

Lastly, and most importantly, hold in high regard your membership to CPS. It is a priviledge, not a God-given right. As a member, this is expected of you. Anything implying that CPS is otherwise is constructive or good for group morale, and will not ever be tolerated.
